Learn how to make delicious Breakfast Protein Biscuits. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

The key to this dish lies in selecting the right ingredients, just like my mum taught me. Freshness and quality can transform a simple recipe into something extraordinary.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (or almond milk for a dairy-free option)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the chilled, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, milk, honey, and protein powder until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times until it holds together.
  7. Roll the dough out to about 1-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving, and enjoy the warm, soft texture that’s perfect for dipping or topping.
