Ingredients
Scale
The key to this dish lies in selecting the right ingredients, just like my mum taught me. Freshness and quality can transform a simple recipe into something extraordinary.
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk (or almond milk for a dairy-free option)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the chilled, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, milk, honey, and protein powder until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times until it holds together.
- Roll the dough out to about 1-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving, and enjoy the warm, soft texture that’s perfect for dipping or topping.
