Learn how to make delicious Coffee Cinnamon Rolls. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

The key to these delicious rolls is in selecting quality ingredients that bring out the best flavors. I always recommend using the freshest possible ingredients, as they can truly elevate the dish. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brewed coffee

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and a tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it’s frothy.
  2. Add the melted butter, egg, remaining sugar, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually stir in flour until the dough begins to form. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. For the filling, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and coffee granules in a small bowl.
  6. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread with softened butter and sprinkle the sugar mixture evenly over the top.
  7. Tightly roll the dough from the long side and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Pour heavy cream over the rolls and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and brewed coffee until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls and serve.
