- 4 fresh croissants
- 4 large eggs
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 slices of cooked bacon or ham
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: avocado slices, tomatoes, or spinach for added freshness
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Slice the croissants in half horizontally and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a nonstick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook them sunny-side up or your preferred style.
- Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each croissant. Add a slice of bacon or ham on top of the cheese.
- Place the cooked egg on top of the bacon or ham. If using, add slices of avocado, tomatoes, or spinach.
- Top with the other half of the croissant and bake in the oven for about 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the croissants are warm and slightly crispy.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve while warm. Enjoy your breakfast masterpiece!
