Ingredients
Scale
The key to this dish lies in selecting the right ingredients that ensure a balance of flavor and texture. My years in restaurant kitchens taught me the importance of ingredient quality, and I carry that into every home-cooked meal.

- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the buttermilk just until combined, then gently fold in the ham and cheese.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly, about 5-6 times.
- Roll the dough to about 1/2-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits.
