Learn how to make delicious Hot Honey Peach Wings. Easy recipe with step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 pounds chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying or roasting)
  • Fresh peaches (about 2 ripe peaches, sliced into wedges)
  • 1/4 cup honey (preferably local or floral for depth)
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust based on heat preference)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional, adds umami)
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (for extra heat, optional)
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley (for garnish)

When I first started experimenting in my kitchen, I loved finding ways to incorporate fresh fruit into savory dishes. Peaches are particularly special, as they add a natural sweetness that balances the heat of the hot honey glaze. If peaches aren’t in season, a good substitute could be nectarines or even mango for a tropical twist. I also like to keep the ingredients simple—my grandma always emphasized fresh, quality produce, which really shines in this recipe.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F if baking, or prepare your fryer with oil heated to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if baking.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss them with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly coated.
  3. For crispy wings, you can either bake them on a wire rack or fry them in hot oil for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. If baking, brush or spray with vegetable oil before baking for extra crispiness.
  4. While wings are cooking, prepare the peach topping. In a skillet over medium heat, add a teaspoon of oil. Sauté the peach wedges for about 3-4 minutes until slightly caramelized and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce (if using), and red pepper flakes. Bring to a gentle simmer over low heat, stirring constantly for about 2 minutes. This creates your hot honey glaze.
  6. Once the wings are cooked and crispy, toss them in a large bowl with the hot honey sauce until thoroughly coated. Gently fold in the sautéed peaches, ensuring each wing gets a nice layer of sweetness and spice.
  7. Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley for a fresh pop of color and flavor. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
